WORLDWIDE: 950 Languages, 6 Billion Exposures, One Message of Hope

It is the most widely-distributed film in history, eclipsing the 6 billion exposure mark. It has been translated into more than 950 languages and has been shown in every country of the world. It continues to revolutionize countless lives from America's inner cities to Sub-Saharan Africa to the Far East. It's called the JESUS film. 

Produced in 1979 by John Heyman, in cooperation with Campus Crusade for Christ, and distributed initially by Warner Brothers, the JESUS film remains perhaps the most influential movie in history, on mission to be shown to everyone in the world in his or her own language. The Japanese Jesus Film History

Jesus Theater Showing Results In 2001 the full-length movie "Jesus" in English with Japanese subtitles was shown in downtown Tokyo at the Ginza Cinepatos theater, from July 27th until August 16th. 1770 people saw the film. Later the film was shown in Maebashi (200 viewers) and Tokyo's Omori (400 viewers) in limited showings.

The Jesus video was shown in December 2000 on TV in Japan on 27 regional and 1 national satellite station.  It is estimated that as many as 5.2 million people may have seen part of the film!  Praise God!

The Jesus video was previously shown on TV in Japan during 1999 on TV Kanagawa in the south Tokyo regional broadcasting area.  Over 2 showings it is estimated that as many as 6.9 million people may have seen part of the film!  Praise God!

During Christmas 1999 over 1200 Japanese denominations churches and missions cooperated in ordering 85000 Jesus videos that they distributed to family and friends - "Each believer get one to give one!"  Through this Christmas outreach it is estimated that 255,000 Japanese have or will soon watch Jesus!  What a blessing to the believers of Japan to touch the lives of family and friends this way!

The Christmas outreach was repeated during Christmas 2000 and another 20,000 videos were ordered for distribution!  During the Christmas outreach for 2001, 14,500 Jesus for Children videos were distributed, and during the Christmas 2002 outreach another 5000 Jesus video products were ordered for Christmas ministry.
